Michigan’s First & Finest Animal Rehabilitation Center

“Put Your Paws in Our Healing Hands!”
The Animal Rehabilitation Center of Michigan (ARC) was founded in 2001 with a vision to help dogs live a full, pain-free life. ARC is part of the Union Lake pet care complex.

We are proud to say that in the field of canine rehabilitation, we are Michigan’s:

  • FIRST canine rehabilitation facility
  • FIRST facility to have an underwater treadmill

and Annette Engler was the

  • FIRST certified canine rehabilitation practitioner (CCRP) in Michigan!

We have successfully treated thousands of pets since opening and are proud to be offering this service to our clients and community.

Through isolated and controlled exercises, we are able to help dogs return to normal function. Hydrotherapy has proven to be a very effective form of low-impact exercise, allowing us to target specific muscle groups without additional impact on painful joints. We also have state-of-the-art equipment such as laser therapy, electrical stimulation, therapeutic ultrasound, and extracorporeal shockwave therapy.

Our goal is to help your dog live a happier, healthier, pain-free life! We strive to help your dog get back to its normal routine, whether that routine is just taking a walk down the street or competing at national levels.

At ARC, we are committed to the bond between clients and their pets. Visit the Animal Rehabilitation Center of Michigan website.

Compassionate care 7 days a week.

Since 1974, Union Lake Veterinary Hospital has been providing pets in Waterford, West Bloomfield, and surrounding areas with state-of-the-art care.
