Annette Engler, LVT, CVPM, CCRP
Hospital Administrator, LVT, CVPM, CCRP
Annette has been working in veterinary practices since she was 14 years old. She joined the Union Lake Veterinary Team in 1995. She is a Licensed Veterinary Technician, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager and became Michigan’s first Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner in 2001. Her career path has taken her on many interesting journeys, including the Caribbean, Florida and Michigan. She has worked in specialty practices as a critical care nurse, internal medicine and surgical nurse as well as in general medicine and as a practice manager.
Annette is continually striving to offer new and interesting services to our clients. She enjoys being a mentor to fellow veterinary owners and managers through consulting and practice management speaking engagements. She is also a certified DiSC trainer and gets great satisfaction out of helping with team-building, conflict resolution and coaching of veterinary team members.
Annette is passionate about providing exceptional care to companion animals and is proud to lead this team! In her spare time she enjoys yoga, traveling, golfing, camping, hiking, reading, coaching and mentoring.


Barb Foster, LVT
Barb graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 1997. She started working at ULVH in 1999. Her favorite parts of her career include surgery, anesthesia, and emergency medicine. Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time hiking, boating, and spending time with her husband and two children. She rescued both her dog and cat that complete their family.


Val Olmsted, LVT
Val joined Union Lake Vet Hospital in March of 2001 while finishing her internship. She graduated from Macomb Community College in 2001 with an associate degree in Veterinary Technology. Val also has a Bachelor in Science from CMU and OCC. She has 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 12 fish. Val is known as the cat whisperer for all the hard to handle cats that come into our clinic. She enjoys dentistries, nursing care, anesthesia. She is very thankful to work with animals on a daily basis.


Jennifer Titesworth, LVT
Jennifer came to Union Lake for an internship while completing her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology at Baker College of Flint and joined our team as a technician in 2012. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing-joining us with 20 years of nursing experience. Her special interests include critical care, nursing and anesthesia. She is the proud “mom” of three rescued dogs.


Lindsey Anderson, LVT
Lindsey began working in veterinary medicine when she as an assistant while she was studying for her Veterinary Technician degree at Macomb Community College. She graduated in 2010 and was Vice President of her class. She worked in Emergency and Critical Care for 4 years. She joined our team in April 2014. She shares her life with her son Brantley, 3 dogs and 2 cats. Her special interests are in Behavior, Radiology, Emergency, Training and she is certified in Low Stress Handling.


Jessie Legree, LVT
Jessie graduated from Macomb Community College in 2007 with an Associates of Applied Science Veterinary Technician Degree. Jessie highly enjoys client education and mystery cases/conditions. When she is out of work she enjoys spending time with her two fur-babies at home. Anchor, a black Lab, and Mason, a blue Great Dane.


Felicia Asher, LVT
Felicia graduated from Macomb Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree and became a licensed veterinary technician in 2010. She found her niche in providing compassionate patient care and educating clientele within private practice. With a profound interest in behavior, she earned certification as a professional dog trainer through the Karen Pryor Academy in 2014 and has offered private counseling for dog and cat guardians. Felicia joined the Union Lake Veterinary Hospital team in 2020 to utilize, challenge, and broaden her knowledge base and technical abilities. As a credentialed trainer, bull-breed advocate, and Fear-Free certified technician, she is committed to animal welfare and enriching the human-animal bond. Felicia is a self-proclaimed nerd, fitness enthusiast, novice photographer and enjoys spending time with her own critters, warm and cold-blooded alike.

Megan Heider, LVT

Kristen Klebba, LVT, KPA CTP, VTS
Kristen graduated from Macomb Community College with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology in 2006. Kristen began working at ULVH as an assistant in 2002 before achieving her degree and continuing to further her education in behavior by completing the Karen Pryor Academy Professional Dog Training program in April 2015 and obtaining her VTS (veterinary technician specialty) in behavior in 2020. Kristen loves spreading behavior knowledge by educating pet parents on proper puppy/kitten socialization and development, utilizing low stress handling techniques, and teaching cooperative care techniques for veterinary procedures. Kristen is Fear Free Elite Certified, Low Stress Handling Silver Certified, and Human Animal Bond Certified. In her free time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her Corgi, Mac, and tabby cat, Sawyer.

LeaAnne, LVT
Lea Anne started in the veterinary field in 1991 working with horses on a broodmare farm in Kentucky. After taking a break from horses for a few years, she re-entered the veterinary field in 1999 and has been working with dogs and cats since then with some exotics mixed in. Lea Anne takes a special interest in radiology and enjoys learning from the doctors when they discuss what’s seen on x-rays. She currently shares her home with 4 cats, who generously allow her to live with them and she enjoys walking/hiking at the local recreation parks, puzzles, and reading.

Kirsten
Kirsten graduated from MSU in 1986 and has worked at ULVH for over 30 years. She is married with two adult children and is looking forward to becoming a grandmother soon! In her spare time, she enjoys walking daily with her dog Jackson, golfing, paddle boarding, and traveling.
