We know our dogs better than anyone, but even we have limits to what we can glean about their wants and needs. What if they could write their own letters to Santa and express their deepest Christmas wishes? This is what the team at Union Lake Veterinary Hospital likes to imagine these doggy letters to Santa would sound like:

Marley

Deer Santa,

Hi, it’s me. Marley. I’ve been very busy spending my days chasing my human brother around the yard, trying to steal food from the table, and finding the perfect nap spot in my house. You could say my life is pretty full. But there’s always room for improvement. If you have time, could you pleez send me the following:

  • A new squeaky toy
  • The perfect ball for fetch
  • A cozy bed that fits my feets
  • Doggy treats that taste like pumpkin
  • No mor baths. Ever.

Love,
Marley

Charlie

Santa! Ohmygosh ohmygosh ohmygosh, it’s almost time for you to come! I’m so very excited to see you again. I promise not to eat your cookies this year—well, I’ll try not to at least. Me and my mom have the perfect life and I have everything I could ever need. This year for Christmas, can you make sure my mom is happy for the year? And, if you could find me a dad, I’d really appreciate that too.

Your friend,
Charlie

Maddy

Hi Santa,
Maddy here. The cat is still ruining my life. Everywhere I turn, there he is. He poops in a box. He scratches the furniture. He uses my tail as his own hanging rope. This insanity has got to stop. For Christmas this year, I’d really appreciate it if you could do something about this. Make my human suddenly allergic to cats. Accidentally leave a window open and let him run back to his kind. Whatever you need to do to get him out of my life would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
Maddy

Dear Santa,
It’s been pretty ruff these past few weeks. My mom changed my food, and now it tastes like I’m eating cardboard. I’m going to starve to death. My Christmas wish is for you to make my mom see some sense and go back to giving me some delicious food. I’m a growing boy and I need some good nutreeants…nutriants…healthy food that still tastes good.
Love,
Scout
